Mississauga, Ontario -- April 26, 2011 -- Designed to help Canadian automotive collision professionals enhance productivity, maximize profitability and meet the latest regulations, Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes has announced it will offer a number of classes and training sessions in the spring of 2011.

According to Bob Leibel, Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes Director of Sales and Operations, Canada, Sherwin-Williams will provide guidance and share best practices on an extensive number of topics to collision repair management and technicians. Classes will include painter certification, the latest AWX waterborne system applications and color blending and its new EcoLean Level 1 workshop.

The upcoming courses will blend classroom learning with hands-on exercises and training techniques, as well as sound business-building theories. Classes will be held at Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes training centers, located conveniently in Canadian metropolitan areas including Mississauga, Anjou, Sherbrooke, Calgary and St. Jerome.

Toronto, Ontario – March 22, 2011 -- The next A-Plus EcoLean Level 1 workshop from Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes will be held June 22-23 in Toronto.

Sherwin-Williams’ exclusive EcoLean Level 1 workshops are designed to educate attendees about maximizing profitability by improving productivity and eliminating waste throughout their facilities. The program is offered to collision centre owners and dealer managers from across Canada and the United States.

“Our EcoLean workshop curriculum is developed with collision shop operators in mind,” notes Bob Leibel, Director of Sales and Operations, Canada for Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes. “We aim to give them a comprehensive look of how they can build a lean culture in their shop from the ground up.”

During the upcoming Toronto EcoLean Level 1 workshop attendees will learn practical processes and useful tips on lean production’s practical application in collision repair and methods to make their collision shops more efficient, productive and profitable.

Leibel notes the program also seeks to educate shop owners about the fact that environmentally sound business decisions go hand-in-hand with reduction of excessive and duplicative procedure and environmental waste.

“Attendees will leave the two-day event with tangible tools to immediately increase the quality and production output of their businesses,” said Leibel.

Benton, Arizona -- March 11, 2011 -- Collision Hub has announced a partnership with BASF Automotive Refinish Solutions for the live video broadcasting of BASF’s Waterborne Panel Discussion at this year’s AASP Northeast Tradeshow.

The Waterborne Panel Discussion is scheduled to air live on Friday, March 18, 8PM EST on CollisionHub.com. The program will be presented by Tom Hoerner, Strategic Initiatives, BASF Refinish, and is set to feature some of BASF’s current waterborne partners for an informative and enthusiastic panel discussion about the transition to a waterborne paint system.

BASF’s presentation of this information to a live audience is in line with an ongoing attempt to educate the industry as a whole on a sustainable approach to collision repair. The broadcast also continues BASF’s push to provide cost effective programs for knowledge sharing in an open forum.
